This is another photo from the trip I took to the Fort Worth Stockyards last weekend.
I like to take panning shots of scooters and motorcycles and the Stockyards always offers lots of opportunities.
I picked this location because I knew the neon signs would make a great background.
This is not a particularly difficult shot to get but it does require some patience in order to get a photo without cars in the frame.
I used a shallow depth of field and carefully aimed at the rider’s head as he rode past in order to get his eyes in focus.
It must have been my lucky day because I didn’t have to wait very long and I got the photo that I wanted on my first attempt.
